9月1日，国家主席习近平在吉尔吉斯斯坦首都比什凯克先后出席上海合作组织成员国元首理事会第二十六次会议、“上海合作组织+”会议并发表重要讲话。

2013年，习近平主席首次出席上合组织峰会，地点正是比什凯克。此次比什凯克再聚首，恰逢上合组织成立25周年。站在新的历史起点，习近平主席就上海合作组织“勇担历史责任，主动引领历史航向”提出4点主张，就更好发挥上海合作组织作用提出3点建议。习近平主席强调，中方愿同各方一道，继续高举“上海精神”旗帜，落实上海合作组织未来10年发展战略，努力实现更高质量发展，为推动构建人类命运共同体作出更大贡献。
