2026年是“十五五”规划开局之年，加快构建现代化综合交通运输体系是推进中国式现代化的重要支撑。高铁网作为国民经济大动脉、重大民生保障线，对于畅通国内大循环、促进区域协调发展、服务人民高品质出行具有基础性、先导性作用。

“八纵八横”高铁网是我国《中长期铁路网规划》确定的高速铁路主骨架，主通道规划总规模约4.5万公里，由8条南北向通道和8条东西向通道组成，连接主要城市群和经济区。近年来，“八纵八横”逐步由蓝图变为现实。“十四五”期间，我国高铁营业里程由3.79万公里增至5.04万公里，建成了世界规模最大、先进发达的高速铁路网。

9月28日，穿越华北、西北、华中、东北的四条高铁同日开通运营，进一步织密“八纵八横”高速铁路网。新华社邀请国铁集团建设部副主任苑宝华，雄安高铁公司副总经理刘延宏，中国铁路经济规划研究院规划研究所所长马波涛，陕西省安康市文化和旅游广电局副局长屈孝渊共同聚焦高铁网建设推动高质量发展。
